Jada

A dog and her ball. I couldn't help myself and took this picture while Jada was napping. Normally we don't let the dogs bring their throw toys in the house. She loves that ball so much we decided she can have it all the time. Jada will pretty much just walk around the house with it in her mouth or gnaw on it for hours.

This not my best effort blogging, but my phone and computer are plotting against me. I have pictures from yesterday's zip lining fail but both of my devices refuse to upload the pics. I have been trying for hours. So you get half assed blog today.

Zip Lining

This is my unhappy face

I promised/challenged myself that I would blog everyday for the rest of the month of October. I am only going to be able to do a short one because I have to take a nap before a gathering of friends this evening.

That picture is one that I took of myself right before I did my second to last zip line. That doesn't mean that I did the whole trek, it means that I sucked completely and quit in the middle. Yup, I am a quitter. I say this not proudly, but humbly. The people I was with kept telling I should keep going since I spent $62.00 on this. I frankly told them, I've done worse with more money and I don't care.

By doing what I did today, I can fully rule out several other activities that I will not waste my money on. Skydiving, hang gliding, bungee jumping, para-sailing. Pretty much anything higher than say 25 ft.

Things I will continue to do...Yachting. Drinking on solid land. Roller skating. Hot tubbing. Sitting on a bar stool while my legs do not touch the ground.

I will elaborate more tomorrow with pictures of the horribleness that I took part in.

Casero Pizza

Last night we went to Casero Pizza in New Cumberland, PA for dinner. The Patriot News did a little write up about them.

I wouldn’t really consider Casero the typical pizza shop in terms of quality. It's better. No fryers. You could taste the fresh ingredients. Good service too. The actual food preparation area was very out in the open. If you wanted to, you could actually watch them make your food.

Since it was our first time at Casero’s, we ordered more than we normally would. Gotta make sure we can give a good report on the food. We asked what Casero’s meant. Our cute little server said it meant homemade in Spanish.

Our first item up was mini garlic/cheese strombolis. They came out pretty fast. It came with a sweet tomato dipping sauce. The crust for the boli was out of this word. It was great. The bolis were excellent too. Perfect combo of cheese and garlic. The sauce could have been warmed up a little more. I probably could have been done eating after this.

We ordered a steak sub with sauce, cheese, onion, green peppers. We were told on the menu that the steak was from the West Shore Farmers Market. When the steak sub arrived it came with kettle cooked chips and a pickle. Again, the bread was great. Soft and had a lot of flavor. Best dough we’ve eaten in a while. The sub didn’t have much onion flavor; we could only taste the green peppers. The peppers tasted fresh. These hadn’t been sitting in some container in fridge for three days.

We also, order a Meatzza pizza. Wow! We ordered a medium. It came with hot Italian sausage, meatballs, two types of pepperoni and ham. This was high quality meat (hehe). The thing that Ryan pointed out was that even though we ordered different toppings we still got a lot of toppings.

The pile of meat on this pizza was extreme. Ryan could not stop picking meat off the other slices and shoving it into his mouth like I couldn’t see him. I’m like dude, I’m sitting right in front you!

We could hardly finish more than once slice each of the pizza. The crust a thinner crust but it was great. The owner ,I believe that's who is was, came over and asked us how everything was. The food prices were maybe a tad bit higher than other pizza places. But who cares? I’m so tired of spending money to get mediocre food and meh service. This was a breath fresh air with mouth watering ingredients!!

Will we go back? Damn straight we will. And I recommend this place to you too! It’s high time people make food with love.

Boob Tube-NSFW

I heart the TV picture box something fierce. Laughing, crying, (maybe just a tear or two when the Humane Society commercial comes on), and freaking out if I'm watching the Discovery Channel.

I finally feel TV producers have finally gotten the message about reality shows. It seems there are more actual scripted series making their way back on the TV. I am fuckin tired of reality shows. Please don't put 7 hot skinny peeps and one gay dude in a house to see what happens. You want me to watch? Put three hot gay dudes and two hot straight dudes and two normal looking girls in a house to see what happens. I will watch that. Probably the straight dudes turn gay. Is that mean?

Maybe that's why I don't watch any of that Amazing Race or Big Brother shit. I had hopes and dreams when I was 13 to get on MTV's retarded Real World show. That's when they looked like normal people. Then as the years progressed and I got smarter (I think), the people on the show got skinnier and fucking stupid. Don't the "reality stars", that's a term I use loosely, know what hot tubs are for? Getting you wasted so you can fuck the ugly guys that looked good while you were WASTED. This is why I watch porn. I know how the story line goes.

I'm going to go over some of my fav TV shows below. Now, some of you might think...damn she watches a lot of television. What you don't know if I heart DVR something fierce. I will not watch fucking commercials if I don't have to. So, that half hour show just turned into 18 minutes. I have that kind of time since it perpetually rains every day in Pennsylvania.

Up All Night- Christina Applegate and Will Arnett and some other people too

Now honestly, I don't watch too many programs where the story line is about babies. But every time I saw the commercial, I thought to myself I have got watch this. I was hoping it wasn't one of those shows that play all the funny parts in the commercials. Then when you watch the show it's a big pile of poo.

As soon as the first was over I was hooked. One of the first scenes is Reagan (Applegate) and Chris (Arnett) telling their baby how fuckin cute she is. The bleep out the swear words, but you know they are saying it. I loved it from that point on. It seems like Reagan has a little Kelly Bundy in her. The show is great I will keep watching for sure.

This show rocks. It has taught me about how in a group of people, only one person can wear a fedora. The universal tight butthole symbol. How it’s still ok to have a mediocre job and rock out with CeeLo Green (the dragon). I would totally party it up with these guys. Maybe not Ders, unless you get him drunk on pina coladas.

Louis CK

I love this guy. If I saw him in public, I would buy him a shot. I love how his show isn’t all sunshine, butterflies, and hearts. The show makes me laugh, but doesn’t always wrap the ending up with pretty pink bow. I want to see him live. I almost want to contact him to tell him how awesome he is, but I don’t want to seem stalkerish. I’ll stalk from afar.

Bob’s Burgers

Who’d have thought a cartoon about a burger shop would be so funny? I love the fact that most of the characters are played by men who don’t really try to disguise their voice when they talk. I’m somewhat sad the same dude who plays Bob also voices Archer another cartoonish show. Archer is hot, Bob not so much with the come over. I can no longer think Archer is hot knowing what Bob looks like.

I love all the characters. But one of my favorite scenes is where Tina starts laying on the floor moaning. Then everyone else joins in. Ryan and I try to replicate the moaning while we shopping in the grocery store. It really throws people off. Or, when Ryan wants me to clean something. I start the Tina moan.

Unfortunately for you guys I could not find the video where Tina lays on the floor. Instead, I found a montage of her moaning. Very funny. Try moaning like Tina.

South Park
This is an oldie but a goodie. When this show first came out it totally rocked. It was like the Simpsons only edgier, darker, and frankly funnier. I love child cartoon characters that swear. Then somewhere in the middle, I stopped watching. I might not have been able to afford cable or maybe I was out boozing that night when it was on. I restarted watching South Park maybe about two years ago and I love it more than ever. How many times have you said, they killed Kenny, you bastard!?! South Park has taught us what green apple splatter is, space cash, and sometimes you need to just make a left turn. If you need to look up what green apple splatter is, I can wait.

The creators must really not care about the FCC or maybe Comedy Central doesn’t because they say shit all the time that shouldn’t be played before 10 p.m. That makes me love it even more! I’m an adult. I don’t need everything I watch to be so sanitized. If I were a good parent, I wouldn’t let my child watch this program. Moms that bitch about how terrible the show is really annoy the shit out of me. You have the power to turn the TV off. Don’t want little Johnny watching South Park? Turn the dial asshole. Or go read a book to the kid. Stop letting the TV teach our kids. If you don’t want your kids being influenced by TV, then maybe you should spend a little time with them instead.

There's a lot more shows out there that I watch, but I just don't have the time to write a little blooper on all of them. What shows are a must see for you?

30 Days 30 Blogs.....Morning routine

Last night I found this awesome blog site called {tinniegirl}. I find a lot of cool shit very randomly And it challenged peeps to post a blog every day in the month of October. It's actually called Blogtoberfest 2011. Challenge you say? Yes, I accept. The only thing I keep thinking about is do I have enough content for a month? Will I bore you with every day posts? Can I really be funny/witty/awesome/charming/fabulous/cool/hip/out of sight for a whole month? Hell yeah I can be! But maybe only to myself and to my dogs. But you're going to see it and read it for a whole month.

First up, is my morning routine. It's the same thing every day almost. It may change slightly on the weekend because Ryan and I like to go out for breakfast. (The dogs still get up at six a.m., those bastards!) But it's going to be filled with lots of pictures of what I do it the morning! Like a kids storybook! Yeah!
Jada and Sophie
First things first. I wake up and this is what I see. Not awesome. Two little girls all up in my face and shit. As soon as my alarm goes of or their internal clock (set of course at 6am) they are all about eating. Now you may ask, why are they so close to your face Rita? My answer is Ryan was snoring like a MONSTER and I went to the couch to get some actual zzzzzzzz's.

I have to pee before anything gets done. I get the stare down from Sophie. Jada is probably drinking the whole bowl of water because she's so excited.

Next step is to feed the Bees. I called them my Bees, it's short for babes. They pretty much inhale food on contact with the bowl. I proceed to let them out, cuz they gots to go potty too.

Coffee time bitches

Eggs, yes I will eat them. I normally would do two eggs and a piece of toast, but wouldn't ya know we are out of toast. Oh well, eggs it is.

Time to check the blog. And FB, and the Weather Channel. Not that the weather really screws with my day, but I look for Ryan. Then it's back to FB and my blog.

Oh, two little girls praying to the Food God. Anyone can be the Food God. You just have to have food.

Shower time equals tooth brush time, make up time, deodarant time.

Waiting for me to be done with my makeup.

Time to pick a Monday thru Friday outfit for work.

Sorry Sophie, you have to go in the cage because you cannot handle yourself.

Out the door to my car.

I've entered the shit box, I mean the Saturn. Time to start singing...loud.

I sort of have a green thumb.

I’ve always wanted to have a garden. As I was growing up, we didn’t have too much going on  besides tulips. Over the years, my parents tried to grow things, but I don’t think they had the magic touch. Moreover, we had a huge maple-like tree out front that wouldn’t allow anything but crab grass to grow.

Now that we have a house, my money has and is being spent on landscaping. I can finally have the yard I’ve always dreamt about! Too bad my yard is a wreck and goddamn plants are expensive. But I still try.

We bought our house in the winter when all the superman-ish weeds had died. We didn’t really know what we were getting into. When I talk about the weeds we had, I don't mean some dandelion shit. I'm talking six foot thistle. Six Freakin Feet. Taller than myself. This shit just kept poppin up and I just kept pulling it out. If it got too big, (the stuff grows fast), I would douse it with poison. We even hired a lawn company, but then I sent them pictures of how shitty of a job they were doing, they stopped coming.

We had to take matters in to our own thumbs. When I say we I really mean mostly me. Ryan does the big hard stuff like try not to cut his limbs off with the chainsaw. I do the rest. His arm is fucked up right now, so I have to let it rest until winter. Need the man for snow shovelin.

Here are some before and after picks.
Horrible Bushes

More Horrible Bushes
Sorry this is so dark, I took it the day the wood cutters came to take down this shitty spikey ball
droppin tree. I still occasionally find them in my yard. Gum Trees, I wish them on my enemies.
No Bushes! Thanks Ryan

Here's the beautiful Kwanzan Cherry Tree to replace the nasty ones

FYI, I am def getting some flack from Ryan about why I didn't get all yellow mums. Sorry!
Instead of those monster bushes, I planted rhododendrons. They don't shed their leaves in the winter, which will give the house some color during the cold months. I also bought some real cheap mums to use as ground cover. No matter how hard I try, I still get a lot of clover and still some thistle. I'm hoping to choke the bitch weeds out over the next year.

Now, my backyard is a different story. See we got these pesky neighbors that really love hanging out on their deck. There's nothing wrong with that mind you, but the weak ass fence they put up still doesn't block our view from them. We have a single story house, they have a bi-level. Their bi-level beats our house. Sad face.

So, my wonderful coworker was nice enough to GIVE!!!!, give us seven Rose of Sharon bushes. Holla! Who's going to be blocked out in about two years? Oh yeah the neighbors! Ryan did help me dig the holes for the majority of the plants. Our house was built on a giant rock farm. There's like two inches of soil and then rock. Lots of rocks, little rocks, big rocks. It's all rock. I did have to go for supplies and Ryan got a shower, so he couldn't help me finish with the plants. I'm pretty sure that was by design. That's why some of them look like they are leaning to the left. I'm not a good tyer-upper. Whatev dude.

Sophie my never leaving side kick

This Rose of Sharon and another one went into shock and lost
all of its leaves. I had to nurse them back to health. I refuse to
see my neighbors!

I think the key to making plants live is being a little obsessive about it. You have to be hovering over the plants all the time. Do they need water? Do they have too much water? Do they need trimmed, how about some miracle grow? I was especially nutty with the backyard plants I was outside checking on them for the first couple of months two sometimes three times a day. You may thinks that's insane, and under normal circumstances it would be. But I like to hot tub NUDE. I walk around my house in front of the sliding glass door with limited clothes on. I have to make these plants live.

Say Whaaaaatt?

I love music. I listen to it all day at work. I cannot actually do a good job unless there's some tunes on in the background. Working out? If there's no music, I might as well not bother, cuz I'm going to suck. I listen to music while mowing the grass, throwing the ball and walking the dogs. I don't listen to music while going Number 2. That requires complete concentration and apparently silence. (Too much info?)

I don't even need to listen to pop, I can do everything except newer country. I love the blues, love rock, and definitely love opera and classical.

That being said, I don't know the words to some of the songs I hear. Sometimes I hum along or just make up some words. If I'm in the car, I'm definitely making the words up. In this blog I will go into songs in which I have no freakin clue as to what they are saying. I guess with the Internet I could look up the lyrics, but I'm too lazy.

Black Crowes- Hard to Handle

.27-.29 I got some more love and a ball in stone?
.39-42 I'm so hard to handle gizz around? What is a gizz around? Is he saying gizzard like a turkey? I have no idea....
1.28-1.30 I'm a man on the O scene? Does he mean the orgasm scene? Cuz I would totally be cool if he was good at that. Not that I want to do him, he's too scraggly for me.

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody

Now for the record, I do know most of the words. So if you like this song you can just listen to it. But by the time I've gotten to this part of the song I am singing super loud. Really loud.

3.08-3.11 I see a little silloutte of a mad man. Scaddabush Scaddabush will you do the dang dang-o? That can't be right.
3.18-3.24 Gallelo Gallelo figuro? Figuro? Magnificoooooooe?
3.40 -3.50 He spilled life will not let you go!
3.59-4.01 Be elzabut from a devil on a sock eeeeeee...I can't even spell the garble I sing here.(My arms are waving like a lunatic having a seizure at this part.)

Peal Jam- Yellow Ledbetter

.35-.41 Hee haw hee huh on a porche of bedded something. This is one of the worst songs of the unintelligible lyrics. So much when this song comes on Ryan even makes up some random words. If you want to laugh uncontrollably, be in the car with us when this comes on. We don't harmonize.

I'm not even going to list the times where I can't understand what Eddy is singing. I can only actually understand a few words. He might as well be singing in Spanish/Latin/Russian.

Andrea Bocelli - Nessun Dorma

I don't speak or sing Italian. But I try.

I know there are so many other songs/raps out there that would qualify for this list. What songs do you love or hate that you can't understand? Do you make the words up if you don't know them or just stop singing that part of the song? This inquiring mind needs to know!
